My Rare Wines

This part may seem like I am boastful but please understand I am so proud of my wines. All over the world people will bust their chops to simply hold and look at these bottles. I know this because I once was there. When I purchased my 1955 Penfolds Grange I boasted to my friends that I now hold a piece of legendary Australian history and to be fair it simply is. As I learnt more and got off my Grange buzz I realised the rarer Block 42, Bin 60a the Peppermint Patty and other amazing rare wines from the late 50s early 60s were so much more fulfilling to own than simply the aussie Icon named Penfolds Grange.

Please do not get me wrong Grange is the wine that put Australian wines on the map for all the right reasons (unlike Yellowtail and the negative press it caused back in the day) and it is also a true legend in the world of fine wine. However there is a lot more out there and my when I learnt that I nearly went broke.

As for my portfolio well that grew from a 50 bottle half fridge that I had jammed to a small off site managed cellar, then back to a small room then a small 1000 bottle vault and off again to offsite managed palette stacked storage. As you can see I have grown massively in my time to something near 8000 bottles, of which 4000-5000 are close to lots of individual units up to a six pack in quantity that are hard to find wines and rarely do I find more than a dozen wines purely because their existence is so rare or simply put they have been consumed or broke along their lifespan.

I could drop names of famous wines that I own and across the page you will get to learn that later on as I could talk for hours about it and you may click off the page in either jealousy or boredom. I will say for those who have the joy of visiting my cellar or drinking with me will experience journeys that others can’t supply.
